Types of Asante Interviews and Tips for Success

Phone Screen

  • This can be with the recruiter as well as with a hiring leader.
  • Act as professional as you would during a face-to-face interview.
  • Find a quiet place with no distractions.
  • Be enthusiastic.
  • Have your résumé, the job description, and information related to the opportunity in front of you.
  • Be prepared to discuss your work history in detail. Be able to highlight your skills and accomplishments.
  • Be able to articulate why you want the specific opportunity for which you are being screened.
  • Be prepared with questions you can ask.
  • Dress as you would for an in-person interview if you feel it would help.

Green Job Interview

  • This is a video-conference interview though a webcam on a computer or tablet.
  • It is generally used for candidates who do not live in the area.
  • A technician will contact you prior to the interview to do a “tech check” to ensure that your equipment is compatible.
  • You will be made aware of whom you will be interviewing with and whether it will be an individual or a panel.
  • Treat this as a face-to-face interview.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Find a quiet and well-lit place with no distractions to hold the interview.

On-Site Interview

  • This will be with the hiring leader and possibly others on a panel from the department.
  • You will be informed of the names and titles of those who will be interviewing you.
  • You will be informed of the length and location of the interview.
  • Bring a copy of your résumé.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Be prepared to discuss your work history in detail. Be able to highlight your skills and accomplishments.
  • Be able to articulate why you want the specific opportunity for which you are being screened.
  • Be prepared with questions you can ask.
