Lab test results are the driving force behind 70 percent of diagnoses and treatments in the United States. They help doctors "see" how your body is working at a microscopic level, enabling your doctor to choose effective solutions for what ails you.

Rogue Valley Medical Center Laboratory Services performs more than two million lab tests per year. For more than 80 years, we've been touching the lives of people in southern Oregon and northern California. Experts in our Pathology Laboratory and 24-hour Clinical Laboratory work tirelessly to serve you in blood banking, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, anatomic pathology, cytology, microscopy, parasitology, serology and virology.

Medical Team

Lab tests start with your doctor, who may order laboratory testing as part of your care. At our laboratories, your blood is drawn by a phlebotomist, a specialist in collecting blood samples. Clinical laboratory scientists study your specimen and deliver results to your doctor.

Rogue Valley Medical Center Laboratory works in association with Mayo Medical Laboratories, the national reference laboratory of Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester, Minnesota, to provide an expanding laboratory-testing menu. Through this arrangement, Rogue Valley Medical Center offers our communities immediate collaborative access to complex tests performed by Mayo Medical Laboratories.
