Your doctor may refer you to our Stroke Center for care or recovery. Talk with your doctor about ways to prevent, detect and treat a stroke.

When you're suffering a stroke, you need a team of specialists working together quickly and skillfully to stop and reverse the damaging effects. Your Rogue Valley Medical Center stroke care team includes emergency room doctors, neurologists, hospitalists, pharmacists, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, speech language specialists and other clinicians specializing in neurology and emergency medicine.
The Primary Stroke Center's medical director, Walter Carlini, MD, actively participates in stroke research projects. Dr. Carlini and his team strive to develop better treatments and reduce the harmful effects of stroke.
