Material Girls Brighten Day for Patients at RVMC

Material Girls Brighten Day for NICU Babies

Babies in the neonatal unit of Rogue Valley Medical Center are sleeping a little warmer for the holidays thanks to a donation of beautiful hand made quilts from the Material Girls, a quilt guild from Shady Cove.

“What a wonderful quilt,” said Stacy Jones, whose baby, Bobbi, was tucked into one of them by quilter Sue Campanelli.

Campanelli said the group made over 80 quilts this year, which they donated to the neonatal intensive care unit, pediatrics and to other units in the hospital including oncology.

“We love to do it,” Campanelli said, adding that they love to bring a smile to people with their quilts.

Another quilter, Mary Stirling, said this non-profit group appreciates new quilters or donations of materials. For more information, e-mail Stirling at stirlingml@yahoo.com.
