    Dr. Eric Pena performs a delicate and complicated procedure known as ventricular tachycardia ablation, a treatment option for patients with an irregular heart rhythm who formerly would have to travel to University of California San Francisco or Stanford to have it completed. Rogue Valley Medical Center is the first hospital in Southern Oregon to offer this procedure.

    Patients needing cancer drugs in the Rogue Valley have been able to get the drugs they need. To ensure patients continue to get these life-saving drugs, the pharmacists at Rogue Valley Medical Center have been working closely with the oncologists in the area to track and order drugs and keep them stocked.

  • Auxiliaries Make Generous Donations... 6/16/2011

    The auxiliaries of Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, and Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, Oregon, will make large donations to both hospitals in June 2011. The Rogue Valley Medical Center Auxiliary will present the Asante Foundation with a check for $100,000 in support of the Rogue Valley Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) expansion project. The Three Rivers Community Hospital Auxiliary will present the Asante Foundation with a check for $48,000 to fund three vein viewers, devices that sense the location of a patient’s veins and then projects a map of them on the patient’s skin so a nurse or lab tech can insert a needle with greater safety and accuracy.
