Services provided by Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
All programs include exercise and education specifically designed to improve functional status and quality of life for patients with cardiovascular or pulmonary disease.
Patients typically participate in exercise twice weekly and education once per week. Communication with the referring physician's office is maintained on a regular basis. Staff includes registered nurses, a respiratory therapist, and an exercise specialist.
Monitored Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation
(approximately 18 weeks or 36 visits)
For patients with a diagnosis of any of the following:
- Myocardial infarction (within the past 12 months)
- Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)
- Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) (stent)
- Valve replacement or repair
- Stable Angina
- Heart transplant or heart/lung transplant
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
(approximately 12 to 18 weeks)
Exercise and education for patients with chronic lung disease, including:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Emphysema
- Chronic bronchitis
- Bronchiectasis
- Asthama
- Interstitial fibrosis
- Restrictive lung disease
