Guest Guidelines

House Rules

• Check-in times are from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check-out time is 11:30 a.m. the day of departure.
• If you need to go home, we will hold a room for a maximum of one night. If you are absent for more than one night, you may need to be put back on the waiting list.
• Pets, weapons, alcoholic beverages, and illegal drugs are not allowed at any time.
• Admitting extra guests after hours is not allowed at any time.
• The Family House is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted on the designated patio only.
• Kitchen and laundry facilities are provided for your use; however, cooking and laundry must be finished by 10 p.m. so that all guests may rest quietly.
• Food and beverages are restricted to the kitchen, dining room, and patio areas only.
• Guests are responsible for their own food. Please mark your food with your name. Food should be removed at check-out time or marked with the "All" sticker.
• We ask that you help maintain the general cleanliness of the house by picking up after yourself and doing the chores that are assigned to you.
• Please be fully dressed in a bathrobe or street clothes before entering any common areas.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the guest. We are sorry, but we are unable to offer any transportation to or from the Family House.
• Please be considerate of others and respect quiet hours in the house from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Low volume on television and radio would be appreciated by other guests. To conserve energy, please turn off all lights and appliances when leaving a room.
• Children must be with an adult at all times. Child care services are not available.
• People requiring assistance with care must be accompanied by a support person.
• You are welcome to have visitors, but they are allowed only between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Staff or volunteers are authorized to enter a room at any time.
• Upon departure, all guests are required to strip the beds and wash the linens. Clean towels and sheets are available to make the room ready for the next guest. There is a step-by-step list in your room that you should follow before checking out. The volunteer on duty will check your room with you before you leave.
• Guests are asked to donate as much as they can afford toward the cost of $40 per room per night. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Payment is due at check-out.
