Patient Responsibilities
As an organization, we are guided by the Values We Hold: excellence, respect, honesty, service, and teamwork. You play a vital role in our fulfilling these Values. Please help us give you the best possible care by understanding the following responsibilities.
Providing Information
Patients and their families must provide, to the best of their knowledge, accurate and complete information about present complaints, past illnesses, hospitalization, medications, and other matters relating to the patient's health. Patients and their families must report perceived risks in the patient's care and unexpected changes in his or her condition.
Asking Questions
Patients and their families, as appropriate, must ask questions when they do not understand the prescribed care, what is expected of them, a treatment, or a service.
Following Instructions
Patients and their families must follow the care, treatment, and service plan developed. They should express any concerns about their ability to follow the proposed course of care, treatment, and services.
We make every effort to adapt the plan to each patient's specific needs and limitations.
Accepting Outcomes
Patients and their families are responsible for the outcomes if they do not follow the care, treatment, and service plan.
Following Rules and Regulations
Patients and their families must follow the hospital's rules and regulations.
Showing Respect and Consideration
Patients and their families must be considerate of hospital staff and property as well as of other patients and their property.
Meeting Financial Commitments
Patients and their families must promptly meet any financial obligation agreed to with the hospital.
