Employment Forum Provides Info to Help You Get a Job at Asante
Knowing what an employer is looking for in potential candidates for employment can give you the edge when looking for a job.
The Human Resources Department at Asante Health System will conduct an Employment Forum on January 25 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Smullin Health Education Center on the Rogue Valley Medical Center campus in Medford.
“If you are interested in working for Asante, this is your chance to learn more about our opportunities and our process for filling positions,” said Tara Baker, a recruitment specialist at Asante.
Baker emphasized that they will not be taking applications at the forum. “We are focusing on what you need to know to apply for and get a job at Asante,” she said. “We are always accepting applications online at asante.org.”
Asante has over 100 positions open, 21 of them entry-level, including jobs in environmental services and food service.
At the forum recruiters will explain the application process, the types of jobs available, and how one can get into the medical field.
“For example, we have a big need for CNA-2s,” she said. “And we will provide lots of information about our CNA-2 classes.”
Recruiters will discuss topics such as scheduling; what on-call and part time employment mean; what recruiters are looking for; how the referencing process works, and how to fill out the Asante application. For example, Baker advises that when explaining why you left a previous job, do not just say, “For personal reasons.” Be more specific.
“A lot of people also have questions about our background check and drug screening process,” Baker said. “We will cover all of that as well.”
The forum will include a question and answer session at the end.
