  • Heart Month: Cardiologists Introduce Life-saving Ablation Procedure 2/6/2012

    Dr. Eric Pena performs a delicate and complicated procedure known as ventricular tachycardia ablation, a treatment option for patients with an irregular heart rhythm who formerly would have to travel to University of California San Francisco or Stanford to have it completed. Rogue Valley Medical Center is the first hospital in Southern Oregon to offer this procedure.

  • Rays Food Place Donates $3,599 1/7/2012

    C&K Markets (Rays) on Williams Highway in Grants Pass donated $3,599.69 to the Connie Fiske Fund for breast cancer screenings and mammograms on Thursday, January 5. Thanks to this generous donation, approximately 40 women who otherwise could not afford it will be able to get mammograms at Three Rivers Women’s Imaging in Grants Pass.

  • First Baby of 2012 in Josephine County Born at TRCH 1/2/2012

    Tavita Fa’alataitaua Reid-Jessen was the first baby of the New Year in Josephine County. He was born to Salamasina Reid-Jessen, 35, and David Jessen, 40, at Three Rivers Community Hospital at 11:43 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

  • Amelia Westensee Is First Baby of the Year at RVMC 1/1/2012

    Amelia Westensee was the first baby born at Rogue Valley Medical Center in 2012. Parents are Brandie Lilya and David Westensee of Central Point, Oregon.

  • Material Girls Brighten Day for Patients at RVMC 12/16/2011

    Babies in the neonatal unit of Rogue Valley Medical Center are sleeping a little warmer for the holidays thanks to a donation of beautiful hand made quilts from the Material Girls, a quilting club from Shady Cove.

  • Better Breathers Available in Grants Pass for People with Respiratory Ailments 10/26/2011

    People with pulmonary disease such as COPD can breathe better, especially if they participate in the Better Breathers Club, which is available in Grants Pass through a sponsorship by Three Rivers Community Hospital and The American Lung Association of Oregon. Better Breathers meets the second Wednesday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. Call 541-472-7854.

  • Mended Hearts Recognizes Heart Care at RVMC 10/12/2011

    Rogue Valley Medical Center has earned the Regional Hospital of the Year Award for outstanding service in support of the Mended Hearts visiting program. It is the first Hospital in the West outside of California to earn this distinction.
