Personal

Dr. Clevenger, a native of Southern Oregon, is very happy to return after being away for some time for his education.  He is married to Melissa and they have three energetic children.  He enjoys virtually any outdoor activity, but has a particular passion for whitewater kayaking and rafting, fly-fishing, and alpine skiing.

Richard Lotz, FNP

Mr Lotz has been in active practice as Nurse Practitioner since 1996.Richard Lotz, MD He has resided in Southern Oregon since 1997. He has practiced in a variety of clinical and hospital settings including Emergency Medicine (trauma center), multi-specialty group practices and orthopedic specialty practice. Although he practices general orthopedics and is qualified to see all ages and types of patients, he has a particular interest in sports medicine.

Richard is the primary medical provider for the athletic programs at: North Medford High School, South Medford High School, Crater High School, Phoenix High School and St. Mary’s High School.

Medical advisor for Rogue Valley Pop Warner Football and board member of Phoenix-Talent Pop Warner Football.

Medical consultant and provider for USA Rugby and provides medical coverage for a variety of USA rugby functions.

Team medical provider for Southern Oregon University men’s and women’s rugby clubs.

Timothy Uschold, MD

Dr Uschold grew up in upstate New York, and completed his undergraduateTimothy Uschold, MD degree in Neurobiology and Behavior not far from home at Cornell University. At Cornell, he earned Summa Cum Laude designation along with distinction in research. He matriculated to Duke University for his medical school training under an academic scholarship, and was inducted into the AOA honor society. He continued his interest in neurosciences, studying peripheral nerve regeneration and repair after traumatic injury.

Dr Uschold completed his surgical training at the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, AZ. During residency he was awarded the Cahill Fellowship Grant to pursue supplemental infolded fellowship training in complex spinal neurosurgery at Frenchay Hospital (Bristol, UK). He also completed a second infolded fellowship in spinal deformity at Miami Children's Hospital (Miami, FL). Dr. Uschold's training and interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity, skull base microsurgery, treatment of intracranial and spinal tumors, peripheral nerve surgery, and neurosurgical trauma.

Along with his wife Anna (a physician assistant and South Coast Oregon native) and three children, Dr. Uschold moved to Medford in July 2013 to join SONSA. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, backpacking, running, gardening, golf, violin and cooking.

Dr. Michael S. Narus is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery in Missouri. He completed residencies in neurology and pediatrics at Saint Louis University, Missouri, as well as a pediatric neurology fellowship at Milwaukee Children's Hospital in Wisconsin. Dr. Narus is board certified in neurology, with special competence in child neurology. He is a clinical professor of pediatric neurology at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, and serves on the staff of OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital one week a month.
