Tanja Pejovic, MD, PhD, completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Yale University School of Medicine in 2000, and remained at Yale to complete a three-year fellowship program in gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Pejovic continues to pursue her strong interest in researching genetic causes of ovarian cancer. She has authored and co-authored up to 50 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has received several recognitions for her work.
She has advanced training in treating all cancers of the female reproductive organs (gynecologic cancers). Her research interest in how ovarian cancer develops in the body's cells has given her a deep understanding of this disease. While she continues to work with doctors and scientists on applying the latest scientific discoveries to patient care, Dr. Pejovic is also interested in holistic approaches to cancer care and is pursuing formal training in cancer, aging, and self-healing abilities.
