Biography
Stephen Schnugg, MD earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley, and his medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the VA Medical Center, Los Angeles.
After ten years of practice in Oxnard, California, he came to Southern Oregon to join the group that has become Southern Oregon Cardiology. He has practiced interventional cardiology since 1983. Areas of interest include the treatment of acute coronary syndromes and myocardial infarction, and complex percutaneous coronary intervention.
He holds board certification in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Schnugg is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He stays fit playing tennis and exercising at the gym, and, after his wife Cathy, is his kids’ most avid fan.
