Biography
Dr. Alftine is originally from Ames, Iowa and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1995, and completed his residency training there as well in 1998.
Dr. Alftine has found that the most effective and gratifying way to practice medicine is to build a real relationship with his patients. Those relationships allow him a sense of empathy that helps to facilitate medical decision-making and allows him to enjoy the time he spends with patients.
In his free time he enjoys playing with his kids and bicycling.
