Biography
Dr. Karyn Bourke earned a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology at Princeton University, where she was elected to the scientific honor society, Sigma Xi. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Georgia's School of Medicine. Her training includes an internship and residency at the John A. Moran Eye Center of the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Bourke furthered her training at the Moran Eye Center with a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery. Her experience includes memberships in professional societies. In addition to humanitarian work that takes her to far away destinations, Dr. Bourke enjoys skiing, cycling, swimming, running, scuba diving, photography, music, film, fictional literature, and non-fictional adventure.
