Dr. Miruais Hamed was born in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He received his medical doctorate at the University of Bern in Switzerland and his internal medicine residency at the Inselspital in Bern, in Switzerland.
Dr. Hamed served two years in the Swiss Army, promoted to first lieutenant and retired from active duty when he moved to the USA.
After moving to the States Dr. Hamed completed an additional internal medicine internship and residency at John Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he advanced to Chief Resident. Dr. Hamed did his cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Hamed specializes in general and invasive cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, and board eligible in cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
Dr. Hamed speaks several other languages beyond English including German, French, and some Dari.
He is an avid hiker, enjoys biking and is passionate about cooking.
