At Hearthstone we value each resident as a unique person deserving our respect and best efforts. Our restorative philosophy enables residents to reach their highest possible level of function. As a 151-bed skilled-nursing facility, Hearthstone welcomes residents at any stage of life who can benefit from individualized programs delivered in a caring, supportive and stimulating environment. By creating a richly diverse environment that makes life worth living, we strive to overcome the challenges of boredom, loneliness and helplessness that cause suffering at many nursing facilities.

Enjoying Everyday Life

Hearthstone residents will notice a focus on relationships. We have “neighborhoods”—our long-term care residents have an address and a street name rather than a bed and a room number. Neighborhoods make residents feel that they are part of a community and among friends, rather than simply patients in a typical nursing home.

Recreation is a vital component of our overall plan of care. The recreation staff at Hearthstone works closely with every department to structure individualized activities. By offering a variety of recreational opportunities, we help residents maintain their individual lifestyles, attain social and intellectual fulfillment and have meaningful adult experiences.
