Each year KOOL 103 brings its on-air personalities, engineers, and staff to RVMC where the team spends three days creating miracles live on air. By interspersing interviews with patients, families, and staff amid regular programming, they encourage donations and made possible the purchase of a “frog” for NICU babies, Giraffe Beds in which the babies grow and thrive, and Angel Beds in which they make the journey home. KOOL 103 talks with children who were born at 1 lb. 6 oz and are thriving today, and with a teenager who is fighting two types of cancer. These heartfelt true stories are shared with listeners throughout Jackson and Josephine Counties, spreading awareness of Children’s Miracle Network and its life-giving work.
