Asante Names New Chief Administrative and Finance Officer

Patrick Hocking will assume the role of chief administrative and finance officer for Asante effective Monday, March 11. In his new role, Hocking will have accountability for management of financial services and programs for Asante and its subsidiaries, including the following departments: finance, business office, patient registration, revenue cycle/supply chain, licensure, insurance and regulatory, decision support, community pharmacy, and payor contracting. 

Hocking’s experience with Asante dates back to 1985 and 1986 when he worked for Deloitte and Touche and was a member of the Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center audit team. Hocking worked at Asante from 1987 to 1996 in a variety of financial roles, including the director of finance. From 1998 through 2002, he served as the compliance officer for Asante, and from 2002 to present he served as director of strategic planning and business development, director of decision support, and then vice president of finance.

Hocking earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Oregon University and a Master of Science in finance from Northeastern University. Hocking is also a certified public accountant.
