Asante Center for Outpatient Health Invites Community to Opening Event

New Outpatient Center enhances the team-approach to health care

MEDFORD, Ore.—August 15, 2014—The new Asante Center for Outpatient Health offers outpatients improved convenience and access to medical services by placing them under one roof. To celebrate the building’s opening, a community open house will be held Saturday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 537 SW Union Avenue on the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center campus in Grants Pass. Tours, refreshments, drawings and giveaways will be available.

Specialty services to be located within the Asante Center for Outpatient Health include orthopedic and sports medicine, general and colorectal surgery, urology, rehabilitation, laboratory, cardiopulmonary, X-ray, outpatient surgery and urgent care. “Collaboration among medical providers is essential to delivering great care to people in a one-stop environment,” said David Kinyon, Asante Three Rivers Medical Center vice president of operations. “The entire building is designed to put the patient at the center of care and to provide an exceptional experience.”

Asante Urgent Care, a new service provided by Asante in Josephine County is conveniently located on the first floor. Urgent care is appropriate for a medical condition that requires immediate attention and is not life threatening, such as a cold or cough, cut or break, rash or allergy.

Like all new Asante facilities, the Asante Center for Outpatient Health was built to be green. The building will be certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for its electrical, air and plumbing systems, use of natural light and water-wise landscaping. The LEED certification will recognize best-in-class building strategies and green practices.

The four-story Asante Center for Outpatient Health comprises approximately 90,000 square feet and cost $35 million to build. During construction, approximately 300 project-related jobs were created and an estimated 60 additional permanent professional jobs for physician and outpatient services.
