Media chaperone requirement
Members of the media are not allowed in facilities and into patient care areas unaccompanied. To ensure Asante complies with all patient privacy laws, media are permitted on our campuses only with a designated chaperone.
- Requests for interviews with patients or employees, as well as all video and photographs taken on any Asante property, must be pre-approved by Asante.
- Media is expected to portray Asante in a consistent, positive and appropriate light, and provide advance notice of visits to Asante facilities so that patient care is not impeded.
- Written authorization is required before capturing media from patients and employees by having the interviewee(s) complete our Consent to Photograph and Publish form.
Patient condition and cases of public record
Queries about patients involved in incidents of public record (those reportable to fire departments, law enforcement, health departments or other public authorities) may be referred to the public agency handling the case.
