Oregon Wine Experience® cancels 2021 in-person events
Oregon Wine Experience® (OWE), one of the top destination charity wine and culinary events, has moved its auction entirely online for the 2021 event. The three in-person events have been cancelled due to the continued surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations. Founders’ Barrel Auction, Miracle Auction & Salmon Bake and Grand Tasting events will not be held as in-person gatherings. People can still participate virtually and bid online on exclusive wines and auction packages as part of the Founders’ Barrel Auction, Miracle Auction and Silent Auctions.
New helicopter landing pad opens at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Emergency Department
Getting people to and from the hospital for emergency care in Josephine County is now more expedited with the opening of a new helicopter landing pad, also known as a helistop, at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Mary and Dick Heimann, community leaders and philanthropists, made a life-changing gift to the people in Southern Oregon who need cancer care. The Heimann’s $5 million gift to Asante Foundation — the largest donation in Asante’s history — will name the regional cancer center building in Medford.
