Providing and measuring quality care

Asante is committed to providing the highest quality care possible for our patients. Hospitals often discuss quality by referring patients to studies, safety data and reports from third-party organizations.

Measuring quality

We are continually measuring several aspects of patient care to ensure that we aren't just talking about quality, but also consistently providing it. To that end, Asante has focused on three, local priorities:

  1. Reducing patient harm.
  2. Reducing readmission rates.
  3. Improving patient satisfaction.

Our efforts include measuring processes and their results on a monthly, weekly and even daily basis. For example, if a patient falls, we assess how it happened and use that analysis to prevent future accidents.

In addition to our own quality initiatives, Asante also participates in many national quality programs including accreditation with DNV GL Healthcare.

Quality focus leads to better care

Our commitment to quality care has truly benefited our patients. Asante has been recognized with numerous quality awards including:

Transparency and accountability to our community

Honesty and transparency are vital to excellent care. We want patients, employees, physicians, and our entire community to hold us to these principles so that we continuously improve the health and well-being of the people we serve. Being accountable to our patients and community is essential to earning your trust and building a reputation for excellence. Accountability means making the right clinical and managerial decisions, managing resources efficiently, and measuring our performance against state and national benchmarks.
