If you find fulfillment and joy in your profession, you deserve a workplace that gives you the support, resources and decision-making power you need to do your best work. As a nurse at Asante, you’ll appreciate:
Nundu, an RN in general medicine at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, describes why she's loved her job for the last 11 years -- and why you will love it here, too.
Yvonne, an ICU nurse at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, Oregon, recalls a night when her unit had several emergencies going on at once -- but there was always someone there to help, without being asked. "It's great to come to work," she says, "because it's not work."
Debra, an Emergency Department RN at Asante Ashland Community Hospital, describes what it's like working for Asante. She says she loves the sense of community here -- among doctors, nurses and other coworkers.
Matt Southmayd, RN, says Asante leaders believed in him, partnered with him, to help him grow from pharmacy technician to manager of Medical Oncology. "If you want to be a part of something bigger, where you can make a difference, where your coworkers care about you and care about our patients, then this would be the place for you," he says.
Andrea Smith, a floor RN at Asante's Family Birth Center in Medford, says all the nurses and doctors she collaborates with "are absolutely amazing. I've worked in different hospitals so I know that's not always the case."
If you are transferring your RN license to Oregon, you may be able to apply for an emergency authorization, allowing you to practice quickly in Oregon. Oregon State Board of Nursing is accepting applications to authorize an emergency 30-day license to work as an RN in Oregon. Please view the OSBN response to COVID-19 page for more details and to apply for an emergency authorization.
Give yourself the tools for a lifetime of professional achievement when you take part in Asante’s New Nurse Graduate Program, a rewarding entry into nursing for newly licensed nurses without acute care experience.
