Meet Our Educators

Ann Hansen

Meet "Anne Hansen", Director - Asante Nursing Professional Development

Support Areas: Clinical staff and teams across Asante, with a primary focus on nursing.

The Nursing Professional Development team supports clinical practice and professional development for clinical staff at Asante. NPD provides system-level expert clinical practice consultation, supports transitions in practice, and provides exceptional professional development opportunities for clinical care providers. The mission of NPD is to develop clinical practice, knowledge, skills, and resources that cultivate clinical excellence.

As the Director of NPD, I am passionate about provider wellness, excellence in practice, and in facilitating change. Healthcare provides endless opportunities for personal growth and professional advancement. I have been with Asante for almost 20 years, starting my career here as a new graduate nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Asante supported my professional career as I went back to school to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist and (most recently) my Doctor of Nursing Practice- Executive Nurse Leadership. Southern Oregon is my home and absolutely love playing outdoors and spending time with my husband, two children, four cats and two dogs! Outside of work, I am a CrossFit level one instructor and love to paddleboard, run, hike, compete in all the things, and continue to learn new things!

Shana Ogle

Meet "Shana Ogle", Professional Development Specialist / Residency Coordinator

Support Areas: Asante-wide, with primary focus covering clinical departments at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center and Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center Pediatrics

I have been with Asante for over 15 years, beginning as a new grad in the Pediatric department at ARRMC. We moved to Southern Oregon when I was four years old and besides a very brief attempt at living in Portland, I have remained a small-town gal ever since. My favorite things are spending time with my family, including my beautiful children and grandchildren, and traveling with my amazing husband in our fifth wheel! Although I am not particularly interesting, I have overcome obstacles and challenges to be where I am today, so I appreciate the value of hard work and perseverance! I believe anything is possible if you have faith and are willing to work for it! What I love most about my job is the people and variety. I wear many different hats and each day looks different than the next. I am privileged to be at the forefront welcoming all clinical new hires to Asante of all experience levels. One of my primary roles and consistent goals is to create rich opportunities for new graduate nurses to grow and develop. I am most rewarded when staff become the caregivers they dream of being. Whatever that looks like for them.
