Our in-person childbirth preparation class will help expectant mothers prepare for their birth experience at the Family Birth Center at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
Birth isn’t just the physical delivery of a baby; it is the birth of a new family. Being physically and emotionally prepared for labor and birth can ensure the best possible beginning for your new family. This is a four-part series with 2½ hours per class, which will cover core child-birth topics including signs of labor, when to call your provider, stages of labor, pain management, different methods of delivery, relaxation and ways your partner can support you during labor. Your support person is encouraged to attend class with you and is included in your registration. To further your education, you will also be given educational booklets that contain access codes to a companion web app that has helpful videos, resources, and tools. We recommend you take the class when you are at least five months pregnant.
