Dr. Paul Jorizzo is one of Southern Oregon's most sought-after cataract and glaucoma specialists, and our region's only board-certified ophthalmic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in both glaucoma and retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

One of the most experienced cataract surgeons in the country, Dr. Jorizzo has performed over 10,000 modern cataract surgeries. Along with his colleagues at the Medical Eye Center, he offers the latest intraocular lens technologies and surgical techniques.

As Medford's only fellowship trained glaucoma specialist, he is uniquely able to offer the entire spectrum of glaucoma care including laser and surgical treatments that are appropriately selected for the individual needs of each patient.

Having trained with one of the national leaders in diabetic eye care, Dr. Jorizzo offers advanced laser technologies for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Jorizzo has lectured widely and has published scientific papers on glaucoma, retinal vascular disease and macular degeneration. He is also the principle investigator for an array of clinical research performed at the Medical Eye Center including studies for cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma and dry eye.

In his leisure hours, Paul pursues his love of fly fishing and indulges his enthusiasm for boating and photography. You might also see him cycling around town with his wife and two children.
