Dr. Chuck Anderson has been practicing at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute since 2013. He chose gynecologic oncology because it allows him to combine complex surgical care, long-term relationships with patients, and the opportunity to meaningfully impact outcomes through both treatment and research. Dr. Anderson's goal is to ensure each patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their path forward. He strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, reassured, and fully partnered with in their care.
Clinical Focus & Services
Dr. Anderson is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist specializing in the management of ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers. He provides comprehensive care including:
- Robotic gynecologic oncology surgery [over 2,000 performed].
- Advanced cytoreductive and minimally invasive surgery.
- Chemotherapy and targeted therapy management.
- Clinical trial access and novel therapeutics.
- Long-term survivorship and disease surveillance
Research & Leadership
Dr. Anderson serves as Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Research Program at WVCI and is a Principal Investigator for national cooperative group trials (NRG/GOG). He is actively involved in national research leadership as:
- Executive Committee Co-Chair, Gynecologic Oncology Disease Committee – Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
- Investigator and advisor on multiple industry-sponsored trials and advisory boards His research focuses on advancing therapeutics in ovarian cancer and improving outcomes through clinical trial innovation, with authorship on numerous high-impact publications and presentations at major oncology meetings (ASCO, SGO, and ESMO).
Personal
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cassi, and their three children, Christian, Ava, and Beau. His personal interests include running, training for Ironman triathlons, mountain biking, cooking, and mountaineering.
