About this provider

This provider is currently accepting new patients who are enrolled in AHNPlus through their employer’s health plan.

Chuck is dedicated to caring for each patient’s individual needs. He is a certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience in intensive care, emergency and family medicine. He's the oldest of ten children, two of which were special needs, and has been caring for others all his life. He has a special love for helping the underserved and disabled since he has personally seen and experienced the struggles involved with navigating the healthcare system for patients and their families.

Outside the office, he enjoys most anything outdoors. In his free time, he enjoys long-distance running, rock climbing and mountain biking. He is also learning to fly fish and build a Harley Davidson from a box of parts. He is married with five wonderful children, two of which are still at home.

Chuck the provider sent me over to Asante because my [ ] was skyrocketing he listened to my concern of my [ ]. He had my partner take me to the [ ] and called over to [ ] for me to be seen immediately which took less the. 10 minutes. His assistant Sabrina is a fantastic asset to Chuck, she gets me laughing in order to relax my [ ] while listening to me complain about my previous PA failing to understand that taking me off my [ ] become out of control! If it weren’t for Isabell listening to me because of my scared voice I might not be here today!

I contacted Asante to schedule a yearly check-up with my PCP. At that time, I asked about [ ]. The person on the line asked if I would like to see someone right away. I said if convenient, yes. She then made an appointment for me to see Dr. Dungan later that afternoon. The doctor and the staff at Asante Family Medicine were very polite, friendly, and competent.

Charles Dungan and the nurse assisting in care were a great team. Both had a great sense of humor and went above and beyond. I was actually surprised at the level of time taken to address concerns and discuss treatment options. Dr. even took the time to show/suggest some YouTube videos for options to further help with treatment beyond just [ ] at the symptoms. Don't get me wrong, the prescriptions helped a lot, and I needed them, but often times prescriptions don't always address the underlying conditions. A genuine sense of compassion and patience to listen helps a patient able to communicate more effectively. My spouse also commented on her last appointment with Charles Dungan that she really liked him and he was a great listener. I will be making appointments in the future for Dr. Dungan in the future. I will also recommend him to friends and family. Can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. not my usual Ashland doctor. Was sent to him for immediate problem I was having with my eye! Could not get into my doctor, Dr. [ ]. It was before holiday and wanted to be seen as having company and thought I may have something [ ]. Got into this office right away and Dr. he was wonderful! Highly recommend him.
