Richard Huffaker, DO, provides specialized ear, nose, and throat care to adults and children.

Dr. Huffaker earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Missouri. He completed a residency in otolaryngology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, as well as a fellowship in head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery with CENTA Group—St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indiana.

As a head and neck surgical oncologist, Dr. Huffaker has a special interest in oral cancer awareness. Before joining Asante in September 2012, he biked 3,000 miles from Washington, D.C. to Grants Pass in an effort to raise funds for oral cancer research.

Originally from Colorado, Dr. Huffaker is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys southern Oregon recreation including fishing, hiking and biking trails. He values being part of the Grants Pass close-knit community.

Dr Huffaker and the surgical team and facilities on the third floor of the office as a whole. I am very please with how smoothly the entire process went. The nurses were great and the facilities were clean. I am grateful my previous PCP, Dr [ ] referred me to Dr. Huffaker. I had a horrible experience at the [ ] and refuse to go back after Dr. [ ] retired. Dr. Huffaker was and is a pleasant surprise. I am very thankful for my present PCP, Carla [ ], for being proactive and ordered the [ ] so when I did see Dr. Huffaker, I went in with all the information he needed to make a sound diagnosis when other MD's were unable to do so.

Yes, this was my first visit to [ ]. When I was late for my appointment, due to bad directions from a phone request, all caregivers I encountered were exceptionally courteous. Dr. Huffaker very politely accomodated me, working in time to see me. The names of others involved as best I can recall are: Cheyenne, Nicole and Emily. Also, the young man at the entrance podium was good to direct me to the [ ].

He had me do a [ ], yeap he issues, he had me see a Physical therapist is was wonderful, who help me [ ] into becoming better, not 100% because of my prior life I had a [ ] that was treated with [ ]. The doctor did a [ ] and saw [ ]. This doctor saved my life and made it really better, he took me to the hospital and the put me down and put a [ ] and pushed that muscle back out of the way.
