Our state-of-the-art facilities include a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, a dedicated Heart Center for monitoring patients, four cardiothoracic surgical suites and two hybrid operating rooms, cardiac catheterization labs, a cardiovascular recovery unit, and diagnostic imaging services such as echocardiography and cardiac computerized axial tomography.

Most heart patients are referred to Asante’s heart and vascular program by their primary care physician or cardiologist. To provide comprehensive cardiac care, we employ a dedicated and innovative team of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons. We are affiliated with more than 50 cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists and hospitalists. All the physicians we work with are board certified in their area of expertise.

Although we strongly believe in making cutting-edge medical procedures available in our community, there are some relatively rare cardiac procedures, such as heart transplant, that are best referred to a major university medical center that performs them on a regular basis. For this reason, Asante has established a close relationship with Dr. Maggie Likes at OHSU Doernbecher Specialty Pediatrics Clinic, Medford who sees patients requiring a pediatric cardiologist.
