The Ashland Family Birth Center is Oregon's first hospital-based alternative birth center. It is a unique and intimate facility with five labor/postpartum rooms and two waterbirth rooms. It offers a range of amenities to support expectant parents throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. From low-intervention waterbirths to epidurals or cesarean sections, the center provides a tailored childbirth experience. It's our goal to create a comfortable, supportive and holistic environment for parents during your time here.

• Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum facility

  LDRP is a type of maternity unit design that allows patients to stay in one room for their entire hospital stay. LDRP rooms are designed to be home-like, comfortable and provide a family-centered experience. 

• Waterbirth

  We have two amazing birthing tubs available for use once you have been screened for eligibility. We also have two large showers that are great for laboring. Learn more about waterbirth.

• Experienced and licensed doulas

  We have wonderful doulas who are on call if you want additional labor support. Meet our doulas.

Childbirth education

We offer in-person classes for expectant parents.
