Childbirth education in Ashland

Childbirth Education Program at Asante Ashland Community Hospital

In-person childbirth education class

This five-week class will prepare expecting parents for the marathon that is labor, birth and the postpartum period. Topics include healthy habits for pregnancy, common prenatal discomforts, body movements to prepare for labor, coping strategies, relaxation and breathwork exercises, birth plans, as well as interventions and variations of birth. The fifth class in the series will be a comprehensive introduction to breastfeeding.

Your support person will gain invaluable knowledge of the birthing process and practice hands-on skills to help the pregnant person move through the phases and stages of labor.
